Az Európai Unió és az Egyesült Államok megállapodott, hogy öt évre meghosszabbítják az európai Airbus és az amerikai Boeing repülőgépgyártóknak nyújtott, a Kereskedelmi Világszervezet (WTO) által tiltottnak minősített állami támogatások miatt egymás exportjára kivetett büntetővámok felfüggesztését – írja az MTI az Európai Bizottság tájékoztatása nyomán.



Az EU és az Egyesült Államok márciusban négy hónapra felfüggesztette az egymás exportjára kölcsönösen kivetett büntetővámokat a vámtarifák tartós megszüntetéséhez szükséges belső eljárások befejezése érdekében.



Ursula von der Leyen, az Európai Bizottság elnöke közölte: a Joe Biden amerikai elnökkel folytatott csúcstalálkozó áttöréssel kezdődött. A megállapodás új fejezetet nyit az EU és az Egyesült Államok kapcsolatában, „a perektől az együttműködés felé haladunk” – fogalmazott.
